We were pleased to welcome U.S. Representative James Comer of Kentucky’s First Congressional District to DUO Broadband for a visit with our Board of Directors, CEO, and executive leadership team.
During his visit, we shared an overview of DUO’s continued investment in rural broadband—including areas where we have completed fiber builds, projects currently underway, and future expansion plans. We also discussed the challenges and opportunities that come with bringing reliable, high-speed broadband to rural communities.
The conversation included the broader broadband landscape across rural America and the importance of programs and policies that support continued investment, including the Universal Service Fund, permitting, and the Farm Bill and its impact on the Rural Utilities Service.
Congressman Comer also provided an update on current issues and priorities in Washington, D.C.
