Position Overview:

DUO Broadband is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of IT systems, ensuring uptime and reliability.
  • Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and applications.
  • Respond to and resolve technical support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures to enhance the knowledge base.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to staff on IT-related topics.
  • Stay current with new technologies and best practices in IT.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
