Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant supports the general accounting and financial reporting functions of the company and its subsidiary, including telecommunications revenue accounting and regulatory reporting. This position offers meaningful exposure to core accounting operations and provides opportunity for professional growth within the Finance department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

General Accounting

• Process and maintain purchase orders.
• Process accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with sales tax requirements.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and related reconciliations.
• Deliver bank deposits and complete daily mail runs for the business office.
• Support telecommunications revenue accounting and regulatory reporting functions.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and audit documentation.
• Maintain accounting records with strict confidentiality.
• Complete reports, analysis, and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet financial deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required. Accounting experience preferred but not required.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance/Controller.
