Is it safe to pay your bills online? And why would you want to?

While there is nothing wrong with paying your bills the traditional way, writing checks, stuffing envelopes, adding postage, and using the postal system, you might want to consider a faster option. Online bill pay has been around for years, and while nothing is 100% safe, today’s security and encryption for paying bills through the Internet is very robust.

Of course, precautions are important, like never share personal information responding to unsolicited calls. Never click links from unsolicited emails or texts. Change your password periodically, and create long passwords. Use a secure network to make payments, like your home wifi, not hotels or coffee shops.

The advantages of paying bills online include time saved, convenient access to accurate account balances, no postage costs, less paperwork, and, less paper waste.

Representative Branscum Reviews $6.7 Million Jabez Fiber Optic Broadband Project

DUO Broadband Receives a $7.24 Million Grant for Fiber Expansion in Adair

Governor Beshear and the Kentucky Office of Broadband Development announced earlier this month the round two recipients of the Commonwealth’s Better Internet Grant Program. DUO Broadband was selected to receive $7.24 million in funding to bring fiber optic data services to 378 homes and businesses in Bliss community of Adair County.

Burkesville resident Gauge Logan-Key is the winner of the 2023 DUO Broadband Lindsey Wilson scholarship. Gauge is the son of Dusty & Kasey Logan. The $3,000 tuition scholarship is given annually to a first-time, full-time Lindsey Wilson freshman from DUO Broadband’s service area.
